Privacy policy
Last updated:
Plumo Gravure engraves custom wooden plaques. This policy explains what personal information we collect on this website, why, where it is stored, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person who runs Plumo Gravure is in charge of protecting your personal information. For any question or request about it, please write to gravureplumo@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
When you request a quote
You send us:
- your name, your company name and your email address;
- your phone number, if you provide it;
- the quantity, the desired date and your comment, if any;
- your plaque configuration: wood species, shape, dimensions and text to engrave;
- your logo, if you upload one, and a preview image generated by the configurator.
When you use the configurator
Your configuration and logo are saved in your browser (local storage) so that you can pick up your project on your next visit. This data stays on your device: it is sent to us only if you submit a request. In the same way, the website remembers if you declined the suggestion to switch languages.
What we don't do
This website uses no advertising cookies, no audience measurement tools and no profiling or location technology.
As with any website, our host processes technical data (IP address, browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. We do not use it to identify you.
3. Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- prepare your quote and send it to you;
- contact you about your request;
- produce and deliver your order, if you accept the quote;
- meet our accounting and tax obligations.
We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent. We do not sell it. We do not send newsletters or promotional emails.
4. Your consent
We collect your information with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. Without it, we cannot process your request.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the address given in section 1. We will then delete your information, except what the law requires us to keep.
5. Who has access to it, and where it is stored
Only the Plumo Gravure staff who handle quotes have access to your information. To run the website, we rely on the following providers:
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, storage of your files | North America |
| Resend | Sending emails about your request | North America |
| Google LLC | Receiving your request (Gmail) and tracking quotes (Google Sheets) | United States |
Your information may therefore be disclosed and stored outside Québec. Before using these providers, we assessed the protection they offer. They are contractually bound to protect your information and to use it only to provide their service to us. Once outside Québec, however, your information may be subject to the laws of the country concerned.
6. How long we keep it
- Your logo and the preview: deleted automatically 30 days after your request is sent.
- Your contact details and request: 12 months after our last exchange, if no order followed.
- If you place an order: 6 years, as required by tax laws for accounting records.
- Data saved in your browser: until you delete it from your browser settings.
When these periods end, your information is destroyed.
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS only. Your files are kept in private storage: download links are signed and expire after 30 days. Access to our service accounts is protected by password and two-factor authentication.
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned.
8. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask for it to be deleted;
- withdraw your consent;
- obtain a copy of it in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Write to the address given in section 1. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. If you live outside Québec, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Changes
We may update this policy, for example if we change providers. The date at the top of the page shows the latest update. If a change affects how we use information already collected, we will let you know by email.
